Maria Malini

Maria Malini has been an avid reader since her college days but never expected to become a writer. A tech professional who once considered herself the least creative person in her family, she began thinking about a story during her first term break in Canada. Two weeks later, she had a pencil sketch of an entire storyline and decided that Soft Chaos could become a novel.

Originally from India and now based in Victoria, British Columbia, Maria discovered a love for storytelling through character-driven contemporary romance. She is currently working on her debut novel, Soft Chaos, a love story between two emotionally careful adults set in Canada and India. She spends much of her writing time exploring deep point of view and the quiet emotional moments that shape relationships.

When she’s not writing, she’s usually studying for midterms and exams, working on parallel projects, job hunting, preparing for interviews, or cooking.

Diane Reid Stevens

Diane began an early morning writing practice while homeschooling her five children and, later, while teaching secondary school English at Delta School district, B.C.

She completed Humber College’s Creative Writing certificate and earned her MA in Creative and Critical Writing through University of Gloucestershire, U.K., in 2024.

Rosalind Villers

Rosalind Villers' author photo

For pretty much as long as Rosalind has known how to read, she’s wanted to write. Although she generally dislikes scary things (horror movies, spiders, rollers coasters), she’s always had a particular fondness for books with a things-that-go-bump-in-the-night vibe.

And if those books happen to have a dark brooding hero and a happy ending, all the better. She enjoys getting outdoors whenever possible, a really good cup of tea, chocolate in any form, and, of course, reading a good book. Rosalind is a long-time member of VIRA as well as a member of Sisters in Crime and the Guppy Chapter of SinC. She’s been published in Woman’s World magazine and is currently working on the Wolf Creek romantic suspense series, set in the fictional Kootenay small town of Wolf Creek, British Columbia.
